Barça Set to Play Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
