The Miami Heat recorded eighty-six opening half points against the Memphis Grizzlies

The Heat earned a crushing 146-114 win against the Grizzlies in their initial basketball match after player Rozier was arrested over alleged illegal sports betting.

Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups was also detained in connection with a sweeping federal probe into sports betting. The two individuals contest the allegations.

Addressing the detentions for the first time, league head Adam Silver stated he was "deeply disturbed" by the incidents of the past few days.

"We investigated that situation and were open regarding it. Although there was that aberrational betting, we, honestly, couldn't find anything.

"The federal government has legal authority... [it] can impose penalties, can do all kinds of things that the league office is unable to.

"So, we've been working with them from that point. Naturally, what they announced yesterday was an charge.

"Moreover 30 months after, he has not been found guilty of any offense, in justice to Rozier.

"Clearly, it appears unfavorable, but he's been put on administrative leave, and so it is a compromise in this case between protecting people's rights and conducting an inquiry."
